The Adirondack Paddlefest layout will change in 2015, when the event is held in Old Forge from Thursday, May 14 through Sunday, May 17, which will make the traditional closing of Lakeview Avenue unnecessary, according to event host John Nemjo of Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company. Continue reading
Inlet gearing for holiday visitors
The Town of Inlet invites all to enjoy the festivities planned for its Adirondack Christmas on Main Street celebration on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 28, 29, and 30.
Stop by the Inlet Information Office when you get to town for a list of shops that will be open. While you are there, you can drop off your letters to Santa.
At the end of day bring your receipts from purchases made at Inlet businesses and receive a raffle ticket for every $10 spent to qualify to win a Holiday Basket. Continue reading
The State Departments of Environ-mental Conservation (DEC) and Trans-porta-tion (DOT) announced Wednesday that they will reopen for review the 1996 Unit Management Plan/ Environmental Impact Statement (1996 UMP/EIS) for the Remsen–Lake Placid Travel Corridor.
