Saturday, January 30th arrived without temperatures of 20 below or the need for local guys to plow before coming to registration…a rarity and yet a pleasure for most!

Forty six boats pre-registered for the Saturday, July 25 annual bass derby held in Raquette Lake. The breakfast buffet was held at the fire hall during registration verification and confirmation of team members. After a short meeting the teams departed from the town dock—after a live wells’ inspection—for eight hours of fishing competition. Continue reading

The 16th Annual Raquette Lake Bass Derby will be held Saturday, July 25.
Contestants verify registration and team members have breakfast and a short meeting beginning at 5 a.m. at the Raquette Lake fire hall. They depart for the Raquette Lake Dock for live wells inspection and their timed start. Continue reading

The Raquette Lake Fish & Game Club hosted its 10th Annual Lamphear Memorial Fishing Derby on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16. Twenty-two adult and five junior anglers competed for prize money and plaques in the bullhead, brook trout, lake trout and perch categories.

Raquette Lake Fish & Game Club will host the 15th Annual Mike Norris Memorial Ice Fishing Derby on January 31. Registration begins at 6 a.m. at the Raquette Lake Fire Hall located on Rte. 28.
Mike’s relatives and friends volunteer to host this great event every year and it is a fun and friendly contest for the entire family to enjoy. Continue reading
