Old Forge: Paddlefest returns to the area for 17th year

Adirondack Paddlefest, which will be held in Old Forge on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 15, 16 and 17, is America’s Largest On-Water Canoe, Kayak and Stand-Up-Paddleboard (SUP) Demo and Sale and features over 30 leading manufacturers of canoes, kayaks, SUPs and accessories. 

Paddlefest will be held at the Paddlesports Shop of Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company, with test paddling taking place on Old Forge Pond. The event also includes clinics, speakers, instruction, live music, food and fun for the whole family, in addition to over 1,000 canoes, kayaks and SUP’s on sale at great pre-season prices.

Major manufacturers of canoes, kayaks, and SUPs will be at Adirondack Paddlefest, including: We-no-nah, Current Designs, Dagger, Swift, Wilderness Systems, Mad River, Wave Sport, Perception, Hurricane, BIC SUP and more.

A slate of additional events has been planned in conjunction with Adirondack Paddlefest 2015.

The 2nd Annual Adirondack Fishing Tournament will be held Saturday at noon and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Old Forge Pond, co-sponsored by Wilderness Systems Kayaks and Adventure Kayak magazine.

First place prize is a 2015 Wilderness Systems Pungo angler kayak.

Admission to Adirondack Paddlefest 2015 is free of charge.

The $20 test paddle fee is applied to a canoe, kayak, or SUP purchase.
