Woodgate library plans September programs

A number of programs are scheduled to take place at the Woodgate Library throughout the month of September

The featured local artist of the month is Loretta Lepkowski who will be exhibiting her portraits of real working people and farm life.

A Book Sale will be held Saturday, September 5  from 9 a.m. to noon at the Woodgate Community Hall on Bear Creek Road.  Continue reading

Programs for all-age participants slated at Woodgate Library

All are welcome to attend upcoming programs at the Woodgate Library.

The Utica Zoomobile will make a visit to the library on Saturday, August 8 at 7 p.m.  This is a chance to see and learn about a variety of different animals. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. Continue reading

Woodgate Library to host gardening talk on Aug. 6th

All are welcome to attend upcoming programs at the Woodgate Library, including a gardening presentation on the subject of Invasive Species presented by Bruce Mero on Thursday, August 6 at 7 p.m.

Mero is a Master Gardener Volunteer at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Woodgate Free Library will host a special Spring Break Program on Thursday, April 2 at 1 p.m. titled, Fort Stanwix on the March!

All are invited to come and meet the individuals who served at Fort Stanwix during the American Revolution.  Continue reading

Woodgate Library to host Seed talk on February 23

Woodgate Free Library will host a program, Talking About Seeds, presented by organic farmer and area resident, Star Livingstone on Monday, February 23 at 7 p.m.

Woodgate Free Library welcomes new trustees

Three new trustees were elected for the Woodgate Free Library at its annual meeting held on Wednesday, December 3.

Mona Todd, Teresa Nickerson and Maureen Weber will join President Robert Seager, Vice President Kristin Frymire, Secretary Alan Woodruff and Treasurer Mary Ellen Moon.  Continue reading

Woodgate Library: CAP-21 secures $10K grant for restoration projects

The Central Adirondack Partnership (CAP-21) has secured a grant of $10,000 from The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc. to benefit the Woodgate Free Library.

The Woodgate Library undertook a major interior renovation program this year and as this renovation progressed they discovered structural issues with the roofing and foundation.  Continue reading
