The Town of Webb Board discussed improvements being considered for the McCauley Mountain chalet at its meeting on Monday, February 15th.
Councilwoman Kate Russell gave some background on the effort to make the chalet a better facility for skiers and those using it for summer events.

The Town of Webb Board considered and adopted resolutions needed to conduct town business in 2016 at an Organizational Meeting held on Monday, January 4 in Old Forge.

The Town of Webb Board held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 10.
Supervisor Ted Riehle reported that a letter had been received from two South Shore Road property owners, who requested that the Town of Webb assist with a road hazard caused by parked vehicles across from the Red Dog Tavern.
They said the parked vehicles create an obstructed view for them when pulling onto the South Shore Road. Continue reading

The Town of Webb Board met for an Audit of Claims meeting on Mon-day, October 5, where it heard two presentations relevant to its ongoing budget discussions for 2016.
VIEW was represented by Executive Director Jennifer Potter Hayes and Board President Chris Gaige.

Among the items being proposed for funding in the Town of Webb’s Preliminary Budget are some decorative snowflakes that are intended for winter season installation along Main Street in Old Forge.
They will be mounted on roadside utility poles and interspersed among the winter basket arrangements that were placed for the first time last winter. Continue reading

The Town of Webb Board continued discussions Tuesday, as to the possibility of upgrading the heating systems in two town-owned buildings, to include ancillary Wood Pellet Boilers.
There had been questions among the board following a recent presentation regarding such systems, according to Webb Supervisor Ted Riehle.
One question regarded the appropriateness of a municipality partnering with a private corporation, which had proposed assistance with a grant, he said. Continue reading
