The Adirondack Center for Writing will host its first annual Writer Residency program at Twitchell Lake from October 4 through 11th.
The residency opportunity was provided by the estate of Anne LaBastille, who authored many books, including Woodswoman and Beyond Black Bear Lake, from her cabin on Twichell Lake. Participants will paddle out to visit her cabin at least once during the week.
The motive of this residency is to provide space, time, and an inspiring landscape for regional and outside writers to work on their writing projects, a chance to unplug and connect with other writers, and to tap into their personal creativities. There will be no internet or cell-phone at the residency. Rooms are single occupancy with private baths and food will be provided. Continue reading
