Volunteers at the Mission Boutique at Niccolls Church in Old Forge are encouraging holiday gift-givers to think outside the Christmas box for their last minute shopping needs.

The shelves and racks of the Boutique are filled with great gift ideas…just tap into your inner Pinterest and use your imagination.

Put together an eclectic collection of cocktail glasses or candlesticks. Plates, platters, dishes and cups can be filled with cookies, cakes and candies. Tied off with a bow, they make great hostess gifts. Continue reading

Food Pantry, Thrift Shop available in Forestport

The Food Pantry at St. Patrick’s Church in Forestport has received a generous amount of squash thanks to Wagner Farms in Rome and pantry volunteer pickers, and the popular item is going fast.

The food pantry serves Woodgate, Forestport, Boonville and surrounding areas and is open by appointment.

Forestport: St. Patrick’s Church opens thrift shop

The thrift shop at St Patrick’s Church in Forestport is open to everyone on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

Last year the thrift shop moved from the basement of the church to the bottom floor of the former rectory, the building next to the church.  Continue reading

Niccolls Boutique: Thrift shop continues offering quality goods to area residents

The Niccolls Memorial Church Thrift Shop has seen drastic growth in its 40 years of service to the Old Forge area and surrounding communities, offering quality gently used clothing and home goods at incredibly low prices.

Each week, a team of volunteers meets in the basement of Niccolls Church to sort through and organize the abundance of articles that have been generously donated by the community.

With each passing week, they are so in awe of the quality of the goods before them that they now affectionately refer to the shop as “Niccolls Boutique.” Continue reading
