Webb Police Dept. issues activity report

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following report of recent law enforcement activity.

A 28-year-old Hacken-sack, NJ man was arrested for snowmobiling while intoxicated and imprudent speed following a property damage accident in the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari parking lot on Wednesday, January 14 at 9:30 p.m.

He was issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Webb Court on Thursday, January 15 at 7 p.m. Continue reading

Town of Webb police report

The Town of Webb Police Department reported the following activity from December 29 through January 6.

On Tuesday, January 6, the Town of Webb Police Department arrested and charged a 24-year-old Old Forge man for Assault 3rd degree (class A misdemeanor). He was arraigned at the Town of Webb Court and released on his own recognizance.

Town of Webb Police Department reports enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department reported the following activity for the period August 20 through September 2nd.

On August 22nd, at approximately 9 p.m. Ofc. AJ Silverman conducted a traffic stop on NYS Route 28 in Old Forge. Investigation revealed that the operator, a 20-year-old man of Ilion, was operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He was issued traffic tickets for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree (misdemeanor) and several other traffic infractions all returnable to the Town of Webb Court at a later date.  Continue reading

Webb Police reports enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department reported the following activity for the period of July 31 through August 10.

On August 2, at approximately 12:00 a.m., Ofc. Kevin Birtle responded to a call of a motor vehicle accident on South Shore Road in Old Forge. Investigation revealed that the operator, a 24-year-old Inlet man, was intoxicated. He was arrested and refused to submit to a chemical test. He was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor) and several traffic infractions, all returnable to the Town Of Webb Court at a later date. Continue reading

Town of Webb police activity, July 9–16

The Town of Webb Police Department has received numerous bear complaints over the last couple weeks. The Town of Webb Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that one major deterrent is to make sure all food and trash is properly secured.

Webb police seek information on recent residential burglary

Town of Webb Police are seeking information regarding a break-in at a residence located at 2799 State Route 28, across from the Runway Convenience Store in Old Forge.

The residence was burglarized and vandalized sometime between Saturday, March 22 and Monday, March 24th.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity at the location during that time period is asked to call the police station at (315) 369-6515.

All tips will remain anonymous.

Webb Police Dept. reports recent activity

Town of Webb Police Chief John Russell reported the following activities over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

• A Plattsburgh couple and a two-year-old child escaped injury when their vehicle was hit by a trailer carrying a sailboat on Route 28 on Friday, July 5 at approximately 4 p.m.

According to Chief Russell, Sean and Rebecca Conklin were traveling southbound when the northbound trailer being hauled by James Blasland of Liverpool, NY came loose just north of the highway department garage.

The sailboat came off the trailer and struck the vehicle, taking the car roof off, Russell said.

Chief Russell reported that the Conklins saw the sailboat coming their way and were able to duck.  Continue reading
