Decision adversely affects local business, yet no communication from Town Board?

To the Editor: 

We are shocked, disappointed, dismayed and ripping mad concerning a paragraph in the December issue of the Weekly Adirondack page 21 entitled, Webb Board passes array of resolutions in final monthly meeting of 2015.

It reads: The Board resolves to post two “no parking” signs on the lake side of South Shore Road 100 feet from either side of the Barry’s residential driveway. The signs will be placed by the Herkimer County Highway Department.  Continue reading

Webb parking restrictions take effect Dec. 1st

Town of Webb Police Chief Ron Johnston would like to remind residents and visitors that all night parking restrictions will be in effect from December 1 through May 1, 2016.

Parking is restricted on town, county and state roadways from 2 to 6 a.m. to allow for snow plowing and removal.

Parking is also restricted in front of the Town of Webb School and on the south side of Park Ave., adjacent to Maple Ridge.

Town of Webb Board tackles pre-winter concerns, other business

The Town of Webb Board held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, November 10.

Supervisor Ted Riehle reported that a letter had been received from two South Shore Road property owners, who requested that the Town of Webb assist with a road hazard caused by parked vehicles across from the Red Dog Tavern.

They said the parked vehicles create an obstructed view for them when pulling onto the South Shore Road.  Continue reading
