The North Woods Community Center of Old Forge, Inc. has received a $10,000 grant from The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc. to implement rehabilitation and improvements to the 110-year-old original Masonic Temple building.
The project will allow for the replacement of designated doors and windows, improved energy efficiency, replacement of deteriorated siding and the priming and staining of the building exterior. Continue reading
A Chicken BBQ will be held at the North Woods Community Center in Old Forge on Saturday, February 21 beginning at noon.

North Woods Community Center held elections for new officers during its annual meeting on Thursday, January 22.

North Woods Community Center of Old Forge, Inc. will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, January 22 at 6 p.m. at North Woods Community Center, 110 Crosby Blvd., Old Forge.
The purpose is the election of directors and officers (chairman vice chairman, secretary, treasurer, assistant treasurer/ secretary) and committee appointments, and conduct other business as may be necessary.
The public is invited to attend.
North Woods Community Center will be the site of a shopping event on Saturday, November 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Members of Dewey Old Forge Chapter #449, Order of Eastern Star will sponsor a mini bazaar and sell gifts priced at $10 and under.
There will be raffles, and lunch will be available too. Bring this article and receive a free hot beverage
The event will be held at the center located at 110 Crosby Blvd. in Old Forge, behind Old Forge Hardware.
Billy’s Italian-American Restaurant is sponsoring a fundraising event for North Woods Community Center on Thursday, November 20, starting at the 5:30 p.m. seating. Take outs are available.
The Community Center appreciates any and all support given.
