Niccolls: Sign up for Vacation Bible School

Niccolls Presbyterian Church invites all children and their families to Move, Act, Care, Follow and Share at G-Force: God’s Love in Action Vacation Bible School.

Children and adults will explore and experience serving God and others with active love.

The fun starts on Monday, June 29 with a light dinner and ends Wednesday, July 1. The program runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. each day. Continue reading

VIEW: Community invited to sing in Niccolls Church Gospel Choir

VIEW will host a gospel service led by Rev. Lawrence Bartel, pastor of Niccolls Memorial Church, and the Rev. Shaun Whitehead, a chaplain at St. Lawrence University, as part of the art center’s Adirondack Music Fest on Sunday, September 20.

The service will be held at VIEW at 8:30 a.m.

The gospel service is free and open to the public and community members are invited to participate with the Niccolls Choir to sing in an informal gospel choir.  Continue reading

Place your Food Sense orders at Niccolls Church

Niccolls Memorial Presbyterian Church is taking orders for the Food Sense package for June.

Each “unit” costs $15.50. This program is open to all.

There are no eligibility requirements nor is there any obligation to purchase food every month.

The Niccolls Memorial Church congregation invites the community and their pets to join them on Sunday, May 17 for a Blessing of the Animals that will be held at Moose River Farm at 1 p.m.

All animals—dogs, cats, gerbils, birds, etc.—are welcome and must be securely restrained. Dogs and cats must have up to date rabies documentation. Continue reading

Niccolls Memorial Church seeks items for 8th Annual Tag Sale

The 8th Annual Giant Tag Sale at Niccolls Memorial Church is slated for Memorial Day weekend, Friday and Saturday, May 22 and 23.

Furniture, appliances, tools, sporting equipment, electronics (no televisions or computers, please), and household items of all kinds are welcome.

All donated items should be in good, working, and saleable condition.  Continue reading

Grief support group to meet at Niccolls Church

A six-session grief support group will begin meeting on Monday, May 11 from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Niccolls Memorial Church, 228 Crosby Blvd., Old Forge.

The group will meet once per week, with the following five sessions taking place on Tuesdays, May 19, 26 and June 2, 9 and 16.

Facilitated by Lani Ulrich, the group is designed for any adult at any stage of grief and loss.  Continue reading
