The Polar Bear Ski Club will hold its annual Spaghetti Dinner at McCauley Mountain on Saturday, January 17 from 5 to 7 p.m.
The dinner includes spaghetti with meatballs or sausage, salad, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 per person, with a maximum cost of $25 for a family. Continue reading
McCauley Mountain will begin its full winter season of operation on Friday, December 12th.
McCauley Mountain is open 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. daily. It is closed Tuesdays, except for holiday weeks.

Peak foliage, summer-like temperatures, clear skies, and improved chairlift equipment combined for a record number of riders at McCauley Mountain this past weekend, according to Town of Webb Supervisor Ted Riehle.
“It was the biggest weekend we’ve ever had up there,” he said.

Peak weekend of 2013 had been the biggest on record for chairlift riders with 554 on Saturday and 974 on Sunday for a total of 1,928, according to Riehle.

The Town of Webb board has been notified of an incentive payment of $35,590 from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) that’s available to go toward its two-phase project of upgrading the snowmaking equipment and chair lift at McCauley Mountain Ski Center in Old Forge.
The overall project cost is $152,821, and the upgrades are projected to save about $39,000 in electricity costs annually, a significant amount of money, according to Webb Supervisor Ted Riehle. Continue reading

It will be a busy upcoming weekend at McCauley Mountain with the Snow-maker’s Ball on Saturday, March 29 and the Spring Fling on Sunday, March 30th.
The Snowmaker’s Ball, an annual event that benefits the Kinderwood Preschool Program, begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes a buffet, music by Colin Clark and a cash bar.
Tickets for the casual gathering are $20 per person and available at the door.
The Kinderwood board will also be launching a new fundraising effort during the event: a raffle for an 18’ Bennington pontoon boat with 50hp Evinrude. Tickets are $50 each and will be available for purchase during the event. Continue reading
With 2014–15 Season’s Passes set to go on sale next week at McCauley Mountain, the Town of Webb Board discussed whether it was advisable to adjust the ski area’s rates to reflect regional changes to industry costs.
The Board on a recommendation from McCauley manager Steve Uzdavinis, examined lift prices for Snow Ridge, Woods Valley, and Royal Mountain as comparable ski areas to McCauley. Continue reading
