Inlet votes to support Legion Post’s veterans memorial project

The Town of Inlet Board voted unanimously in favor of a proposal by Inlet’s Leonard Mick Roberts American Legion Post #1402 to redevelop the war/veteran’s memorial in front of Inlet Town Hall.

The vote was taken during the Board’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 9th.

Legion Commander Jerry Dupuis presented the preliminary design concept drawn by local architect Jeanne Whyte, whose service was retained by the Post. Continue reading →

Inlet Legion Post to conduct wreath laying ceremonies

The American Legion Leonard-Mick-Roberts Post #1402 will hold its Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony on Monday, May 25 at 9 a.m. in front of the Inlet Town Hall.

All are invited to take a few moments from their day  to honor those who have fought for our country.

A similar ceremony will be performed by Post #1402 in front of the Raquette Lake Library at 10 a.m.

They will also travel to Indian Lake to march in the Hamilton County Parade at 2 p.m.
