Herkimer County Sheriff Chris Farber was in Old Forge on Tuesday, October 27 to deliver a mobile radio and related equipment to the Town of Webb Police Department.
The equipment was acquired through a Homeland Security Grant administered through the Sheriff’s Office.

The Herkimer County Demo-crat Committee began the local election season at an event, “Kick Off for Klock,” on Saturday, April 11 where they formally announced Timothy Klock’s candidacy in the race for Herkimer County Sheriff.

The Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office did not properly safeguard seized property, including cash, drugs, firearms and vehicles, according to an audit released last week by State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
Herkimer County Sheriff Christopher Farber is responsible for overseeing the general management of the Office, according to DiNapoli.
This includes overseeing non-Office property room inventory, including items for safekeeping, he said. Continue reading
