Parker Snead has announced that he will be seeking reelection, having served his first term in office as Town of Forestport Supervisor.
Snead said that prior to his first campaign, he and other community members tried to rehabilitate two historic bridges that had fallen into disrepair before being condemned by the state. Continue reading

On Thursday, July 23, the Parker Snead Reelection Committee distributed 8-9 lawn signs to various residents and highway locations in the Town of Forestport. These signs feature the words: “Parker Loves Forestport” on a bright red and blue background.
The two highway locations were at the junction of the North Lake Road and Bardwell Mills Road by the railroad tracks in Buffalo Head and the other sign was located at the Route 28 Forestport off ramp by the overpass. Continue reading
Parker Snead was named the winner of the Town of Forest-port Supervisor’s race following the opening of absentee ballots by the Oneida County Board of Elections on Friday, November 15.
Snead edged out incumbent Bill Hasenauer by eight votes, receiving a total of 308 votes to Hasenauer’s 300. The third candidate, Robert Seager, received a total of 116 votes.
Unofficial results following the Tuesday, November 5 election had Snead ahead of Hasenauer by five votes.
