Esther Deno

Esther E. Deno, 84, died Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Presbyterian Home in New Hartford, NY. Esther was a resident of Lakeside Terrace Apartments in Old Forge, NY. Born July 21, 1927, in Medford, MA, daughter of Mary and William Field, she was a proud Irish woman and New Englander, who kept her Boston accent until the day she died.

Esther was married in the summer of 1945 to the love of her life, Stanford Deno of Connecticut, who died November 4, 1978.

They moved to the Old Forge area in 1964.

After Stan died, Esther spent summers in Kennebunkport, ME with her adopted sister and brother- in-law, Gail and Courtney Austin.

In addition to her husband, Esther was predeceased by her beloved brothers and their wives: Edward, Daniel and Kathleen Field, and Jack and Betty Field, as well as her beloved sisters and their husbands: Catherine and Fred Monboquette, and Mary and Eddie Janos. Continue reading →
