NYS Dept. of Transportation hotline set up for reporting local pot holes

Sun, rain, sleet, snow and ice can turn increasingly crowded roadways from smooth to rough and tumble. Fluctuating weather conditions have created pot holes on local roads and most evident on Route 28 between Old Forge and Eagle Bay.

So what do you do to call attention to the potentially hazardous situation?

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) can help you steer clear of these hazards with its year-round, toll-free hot line at 1.800.POTHOLE (1.800.768.4653) to report potholes on the state’s highway systems, including the Thruway.
