Sign up available for Defensive Driving Course

A six-hour Defensive Driving Course open to Herkimer County residents and non-residents will be offered on Monday and Tuesday, September 28 and  29 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The course will be held at the 911 Building, 71 Reservoir Road, near the HCCC Campus.

Students need to attend both nights.Enrollment is on a first come basis.

The fee is $35 and includes all books and materials. Students will be enrolled when payment is received. Upon completion of the classroom training, participants are eligible for a reduction in New York State Points and Insurance.

Raquette Lake hosting class for defensive driving

A Defensive Driving Class will be offered at the Raquette Lake Union Free School on Sunday, March 29, from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

Completion of the class entitles participants to a 10 percent insurance discount and four points off a driver’s license.

The cost of the class is $35. Walk-ins are welcome.

Herkimer County offering defensive driving class in Old Forge, Oct. 4th

The Herkimer County Clerk’s Office will offer a six-hour Defensive Driving Course at Water’s Edge Inn and Conference Center in Old Forge on Saturday, October 4th.

The course will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a lunch break from 12:30 to 1 p.m. and will be held at the Water’s Edge Inn & Conference Center. Continue reading →
