On behalf of all of our young golfers at the Town of Webb UFSD, I would like to thank the John Cahill Memorial Scholarship Fund, all the donors, and especially Rob Budetti, for their generous and wide-ranging  support over the past year.

The Ted Classic tournament at Inlet Golf Club raised enough money to support one of our seniors last year with a great scholarship for college, and two of our players were sponsored to play at Thendara over the summer.  Continue reading

My family and I attended the Inlet fireworks during their Winterfest [Frozen Fire & Lights] a few weekends ago. We had such a wonderful time and once again the Adirondack region adds some magic to our winter.

Hot chocolate, bonfire, sitting on snow banks watching winter fireworks in these beautiful mountains… does it get any better than that?!?

Old Forge American Legion Post #893 would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the Central Adirondack Association and all the people who helped make our Snofest raffle a huge success.

Special thanks to Dave Etsen and Sandy Booton.

The post would also like to recognize Mike Farmer and Laurie Barkauskas for their outstanding organizing.

First place winner of the Basket of Cheer was Craig LaPlante of Star Lake with second place prize going to Richard Vivensio of Brooklyn.

The Snofest Committee co-chairs, Dave Etsen and Sandy Booton, would like to thank everyone who came to the George T. Hiltebrant Recrea-tion Center on March 11 & 12th.

Eagle Bay Fire Dept. and Auxiliary say thank you

The Eagle Bay Volunteer Hose Co., Inc. would like to thank everyone who participated, attended and supported our 3rd. annual Chili Cook-Off and Open House held on Saturday,February 27 at the Eagle Bay Fire Station.

We especially thank  all those participants who cooked up their special chili concoctions and  entered them for judging in our annual Chili Cook-Off event. All together we had thirteen entries that were competing for top cash prizes in four Chili Categories.  Continue reading

Polar Bears say thank you

The Polar Bear Ski Club hosted the 2016 Kandahar Festival ski races at McCauley Mountain on February 27 and 28th. We would like to thank everyone who helped make this such a huge success.

Inlet: 13th Annual Frozen Fire & Lights lives up to name

The 13th Annual Frozen Fire & Lights festival in Inlet began with the coronation of King Greg Rudd and his Queen Toni in front of a snowy Adirondack “throne” near Inlet Town Hall.

Former King and Queen Paul and Reggie Chambers did the honors.
