Big Moose Balsam Bee set Saturday, July 25

The annual Big Moose Community Chapel Balsam Bee will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday, July 25, at the Chapel, which is located five miles west of Eagle Bay on Big Moose Road.

All are welcome to join in this long-standing, local Adirondack tradition of making balsam pillows which will be sold at the Chapel’s annual Bazaar on August 1.  Continue reading

Card of thanks

On Thursday, April 30 our home of 40 years was destroyed by fire at Big Moose Station.

We are forever grateful to the firefighters that battled the ornery blaze for so many hours.

The men and women of four departments clearly displayed expertise, professionalism and aggressiveness throughout the battle and because of this we were able to retrieve a few precious mementos in the following days. Continue reading

ADK Guide’s Dinner: Big Moose tradition set for Aug. 9th

If you are looking for a different and unique dinner experience while in the Adirondacks plan on attending the Adirondack Guide’s Dinner at the Big Moose Community Chapel on Saturday, August 9th.

Dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m.

Big Moose Community Chapel is known for continuing many traditions.

Jolly Moosers Craft Show a big success
