Pavers available for Inlet’s Arrowhead Park project

The Town of Inlet has developed a master plan for Arrowhead Park, and with the help of New York State’s Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP) they are making many improvements to the park.

Inlet making changes to Arrowhead Park plan, seeking to minimize tree removals

As the Town of Inlet readies the next phase of its Arrowhead Park waterfront revitalization project, it is still taking input as to  “scope and need” of certain alterations that have been planned, according to Supervisor John Frey.

Specifically, the focus has been put on limiting planned tree removals to the bare minimum, he said.

In particular, some in the community have been stating the case in defense of a majestic white pine that had been marked for removal.  Continue reading

Egg Hunt set April 11th at Arrowhead Park in Inlet

The Inlet Youth Commission will sponsor an Egg Hunt for children up to 12 years old on Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at Arrowhead Park.

Bring a bag or basket to collect plastic eggs hidden around the park.

Every child will receive a bag of treats. All are welcome to stay around after the hunt for a chance to win extra prizes and perhaps an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny.

Adirondack Kids Day: 3rd annual event bringing family activities to Inlet’s Arrowhead Park, Saturday, Oct. 4th

The 3rd annual Adirondack Kids Day is set for Saturday, October 4 in Inlet, New York with major sponsor, KIWANIS of the Central Adirondacks.

The event was inspired by the best-selling children’s book series, The Adirondack Kids, by Gary and Justin VanRiper, and last year received Honorable Mention status from the Adirondack Park Agency for “Most Authentic Adirondack Event.”

Dan Berggren to perform at Arrowhead Park

Dan Berggren will perform during Inlet’s Sunsets by the Lake Summer Concert Series on Saturday, August 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Arrowhead Park lakefront.

All are welcome to bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy the free concert and spectacular sunset. Rain location is Fern Park Pavilion. Continue reading
