Webb school looks to start ‘Sources of Strength’ program; budget hearing set; conference reveals value of motivation

Following is Superintendent Rex Germer’s Report from the Town of Webb Union Free School District’s Board of Education meeting held on February 16th. 

In the continuing effort to secure mental health services locally we have engaged in a number of meetings with various agencies and groups including Catholic Charities, The NYS Office of Mental Health and The Neighborhood Center.

Right now we are looking at implementing a program called Sources of Strength within the school.

The training for this will begin soon and involves our students as well as volunteer staff mentors.  Continue reading

The Central Adirondack Association (CAA) would like to thank everyone who came out to support Old Forge’s Winter Carnival the weekend of February 5, 6 and 7th.

Town of Webb Police Dept. report recent activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following recent law enforcement activity.

A 57-year-old Oswego, NY woman was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 3rd Degree and Speed in Zone following an incident that occurred on Thursday, February 4 at 4:19 p.m. Continue reading
