Webb basketball team to open sectionals before home crowd

The Town of Webb boys varsity basketball team will be facing Hamilton in their first Section III, Class D sectional game in thirteen years on Friday, February 12th at 7 p.m. in the Webb school’s gymnasium.

“Our regular season record had us in the top eight [12–8], which qualified us for a home game,” said Webb Head Coach Thomas Greco.

“It’s a great opportunity for both our players and fans, being able to compete on our home court,” he said. Continue reading

Inlet Barnstormers Club sets membership meeting

The Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club will hold a membership meeting on Tuesday, February 16 at 7 p.m. at the Inlet Information Center.

Election of officers will take place during the meeting. You must be a member to vote.

All are welcome to come and meet fellow snowmobilers and support the local club.

Dinner will be served following the meeting.

Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra to return to Inlet for fifth year

The Fulton Chain of Lakes Performing Arts Council, Inc. will bring the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra to Arrowhead Park in Inlet for the fifth consecutive year on Friday, July 29.

The 7:30 p.m. performance will be preceded by a free childrens’ concert under the tent from 3 to 4 p.m. Continue reading

Writers, aspiring writers, songwriters and members of the public are invited to the Old Forge Library’s Open Mic Night on Wednesday, February 17 at 7 p.m.
