CAP-21 relocates office, welcomes Tricia Clark

CAP-21 has moved to its new location in the Adirondack Bank building at 108 Codling St. in Old Forge.

Executive Director Nick Rose and the CAP-21 board of directors said they have also  welcomed Tricia Clark as the newest member of their team, who will be replacing Kristin Frymire as the organization’s office manager and program director.

“We welcome Tricia to CAP-21 and look forward to working with her. Her background in math education and finance, as well as her involvement in the community, has made her an easy choice for this position,” said Rose.   Continue reading

Parker Snead: Town of Forestport Supervisor, businessman passes away

Parker Snead was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 4, 1947. He grew up in Richmond, Virginia and Dallas, Texas.

He was a fourth generation member of the Adirondack League Club where, for many years, he owned his family’s camp on Lake Honnedaga.

It was there, as a child, that he developed his love for boats and boating. Combined with his spirit for adventure, he took to sea and earned his 200-ton Coast Guard Masters License. Continue reading

Amanda Harwood and Robert David Bennett exchanged vows on June 6, 2015 at Eagle Bay Village in Eagle Bay, NY in the presence of their families and friends.

The bride is the daughter of Pat and Tim Harwood of Old Forge. The groom is the son of Linda and Robert Bennett of Sandy Hook, CT, and the late Hilary Bennett.

The outdoor wedding overlooked Fourth Lake and the beautiful mountains with a tent reception following. The ceremony was officiated by Thomas (TJ) Hubbard, Jr., cousin of the groom. Continue reading

Rebecca Sessions named December Student of Month

SessionsThe Kiwanis Club of the Central Adirondacks has announced that its Student of the Month for December is Rebecca Sessions.

Rebecca is the daughter of Danita Sessions of Woodgate and is a senior at Town of Webb Union Free School.

The Student of the Month is a program initiated by the Kiwanis Club, in cooperation with the Town of Webb School, that recognizes senior students.  Continue reading
