Virginia “Ginny” Milton, 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Sunset Nursing Home in Boonville, N.Y.

Virginia was born on April 15, 1930 and was raised in Old Forge, NY before moving to White Plains, NY. She then moved to Bergenfield, NJ, where she and her husband raised their three children.  Continue reading

Town of Webb Police Department reports law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has issued the following public message and a report of recent law enforcement activity.

Police Chief Ron Johnston is alerting residents to a mail scam involving a bogus claim by the IRS that an enclosed check, made payable to the recipient, represents an overpayment of current taxes.  Continue reading

How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying Webb School Drama Dept. readies Spring Musical

The Town of Webb School Drama Department will present How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Friday and Saturday, March 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. in the school gymnasium.

How to Succeed is a musical by Frank Loesser and book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert, based on Shepherd Mead’s 1952 book of the same name.  Continue reading

Polar Bear Nordic Youths take top spots in Paintball Race

Polar Bear Ski Club Nordic Youth athletes, along with Coach Janine Phaneuf, traveled to Dewey Mountain in Saranac Lake on Sunday, February 22 for a paintball race.

The event was a ski, shoot, ski, shoot, ski, shoot, ski race where each skier used a paintball gun to hit five targets. If they hit the target they were rewarded with a deduction of time from their total ski time.

The Polar Bears did very well at the range and on their skis.  Continue reading

New hours at the Inlet Public Library

Lynn Durkin, librarian of the Inlet Public Library, has announced a change of operational hours that will be in effect from March 1 through June 29.

The library will be open Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

The library is located at 162 Route 28 and can be reached by calling (315) 357-6494.
