Inlet Champagne Bus to offer safe New Year’s Eve transportation

The Inlet Champagne Bus will be running again on New Year’s Eve, providing safe transportation for those out to enjoy parties at participating establishments.

The bus will start running at 8 p.m.  and will continue looping throughout the night making stops at Seventh Lake House, Drake’s Inn, The Ole Barn, Matt’s Draft House, Red Dog Tavern, The Woods Inn, The Tavern, and North Woods Inn.   Continue reading

On December 16, 2014 I read an article on WKTV.com regarding a sign displayed at one of the Utica Fire Houses.

The sign reads: “Happy Birthday Jesus, We Love You.” The article reports this sign has apparently been placed in front of one fire house at Christmas time since post 9/11. Continue reading

The American Legion members of Post 893 would like to thank all who supported and purchased raffle tickets for our Wounded Warrior Program over Snodeo weekend. All proceeds will be used to bring five families from Fort Drum to Old Forge with an all-expense paid weekend in June.  Continue reading

The Old Forge Library will hold its annual Family Christmas Party on Friday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m.

The public is invited to come and enjoy a reading of “The Night Before Christmas” followed by the play, “A Christmas Tree for Kitty.”  Cookies and hot cocoa will be served following the performance.

Thanks to all for great Eagle Bay tree lighting

The Eagle Bay community once again came together to hold its annual, old fashioned, Tree Lighting ceremony at the community Christmas tree located on the side of the new Eagle Bay Information Center  at the corner of Big Moose Rd. and Rte 28 in Eagle Bay.

This annual Yuletide event, sponsored by the Eagle Bay Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and the Town of Webb was held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, December 6.  Continue reading
