The Town of Forestport has filed a theft report with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department regarding a non-specific quantity of “old water system parts,” as they were described in a statement to sheriffs.
The statement was made by Ted Daktor, a maintenance worker for the Town of Forestport.

According to the book, God’s Country by Clara Vaughan Hatcher O’Brien, the current Hard Times Café building was originally built in the early 1930’s by Alfred Nelson as a replacement for a small building that had burned in his lumber yard.
It was purchased by Prentice and Al Wood, a couple experienced in food service, who came to Eagle Bay looking for a place to establish a restaurant. Continue reading

Snow and roof loads, energy conservation requirements, frost protection, wind loads, floor loads… all these things do not change.
