Town Clerk Nanci Russell read a statement to the Town of Webb Board on Tuesday, October 14, at the Board’s monthly meeting, alerting them to what she characterized as a diminished working dynamic between her office and that of the Town Supervisor.
She said Supervisor Ted Riehle has altered the manner in which he utilizes the Town Clerk’s office, to the point that efficiency and professionalism are being compromised. Continue reading
Town of Webb Police Commissioner Theodore Riehle announced on October 16, that an operational audit is being done on the Town of Webb Police Department by Joseph Loszynski, a retired Deputy Superintendent, formerly in charge of the New York State Police’s Internal Affairs division.
Loszynski is looking at operations of the department including policies and procedures, and will be advising the Town as to corrective measures that need to be taken.

Town of Webb Council-woman Kate Russell was invited to attend a community meeting in Lake Placid on Thursday, October 16, to participate in a forum hosted by NYS DEC Region 5 on bear problems experienced by residents in the past summer season.
The invitation was extended by Zoë Smith, director of Adirondack Program Wildlife Conservation Society, who addressed the Webb Board at its May 2010 meeting on ways to educate the public on curbing bear activity in and around the village. Continue reading
Jan and Bob Egenhofer of Inlet celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a gathering of family and friends on July 26, 2014. 
The couple, who were marriend October 23, 1954, were honored at a cocktail reception and dinner at Mulligan’s Restaurant at the Inlet Golf Club.
They met while Bob was in the Air Force and Jan was in nurse’s training. For many years they owned and operated The Alpine Lodges on Sixth Lake in Inlet.
They have four daughters, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The Inlet Red Hatters will meet for lunch at Boondocks Restaurant in Boonville on Tuesday, October 28 at noon.
Anyone interested in carpooling can meet at the parking lot of the Inlet Town offices at 10:30 a.m. or the parking lot adjacent to the Front Door Diner in Old Forge at 11 a.m.

Sue Ann Lorenz Wallace, artistic director of The Old Forge Ballet Com-pany, has recently added hip hop classes to the dance school’s list of available instruction opportunities.
The classes are led by Abhishek “Abhi” Sharma, a native of Pehowa, India who currently resides in Old Forge.

Abhi’s love of hip hop was sparked at a young age.
With limited opportunities for dance instruction in his small town, he learned hip hop from watching television programs and through the internet. Continue reading
