The overall success of the VIEW fund-raising event at the Albedor on Fourth Lake on Saturday, June 14 far exceded the expectations of co-organizer, Alan Saban, performing arts program manager of the arts center.
“It was amazing. From the broad spectrum of guests, to those who volunteered their time and services, to the Inlet police who helped with traffic flow, and the caliber of the food—which was way beyond what we expected—it was just a great evening,” Saban said.
Hosts Tony Leiker and Craig Shaffer, invited the capacity crowd to casually tour the many rooms and grounds of their landmark estate, which offered many the opportunity to reminisce about the weddings and dinners they attended there decades ago when the Albedor served as a popular restaurant and night spot.
A salon performance by chamber musicians Will Knuth and Adam Levin of Duo Sonidos capped off the evening.
Proceeds from the event will benefit arts programming at VIEW.
