A funeral service for Ivan Kaye, who passed away in Florida on February 6, 2014, will take place at the Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post St., Boonville on Friday, April 11 at 11 a.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to American Legion Post 893, P.O. Box 893, Old Forge, NY 13420 or to the charity of one’s choice.

Edward M. Wondro, 89, of New Hartford passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Health-care with his family by his side.
Ed was born on November 1, 1924 in Pottsville, PA, the son of Ignatius and Josephine (Stabingas) Wondro. He left high school at age 17 to enlist in the Army, where he served as a Medical Technician during WWII in the Pacific Theater attaining the rank of Sergeant. Continue reading

The Old Forge DMV Satellite Office will be closed on Good Friday, April 18th.
The office will be open on Monday, April 14, Wednesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 17 that week with regular hours of 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
The office will close for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.
Drop boxes located at the front of the building are available for delivery of materials or paperwork when the office is not open.

Our state and region have had a tough few years facing mounting challenges, the economic downturn and flooding in the Mohawk Valley.
