Mrs. Borwick’s kindergarten class at the Town of Webb School toured the Old Forge Fire Department on Wednesday, June 15.

The young students climbed into the fire trucks, and learned about the equipment used by the department to put out fires and rescue those in emergency situations.

The Fire Department volunteers who led the tour were Leo DeVincenzi, Peg Masters, Zach Brombacher and John Weedmark. According to Weedmark, this was the 22nd year he has offered the tour to Town of Webb kindergarten students.

In the afternoon, the kindergarten through fifth grade classes were treated to a tour of the bowling alley at Gigi’s on North Street as part of the Positive Behavior of Individual Students (PBIS) Program.
