Town of Webb Colden Hippisley says he’ll run for supervisor, touts tech background

Colden Hippisley, 20, of Old Forge has announced that he will run as an Independent candidate in the November election for Town of Webb Supervisor.

Hippisley, who was born in Verona and moved to Old Forge with his family when he was 10, was homeschooled locally and a member of AYSO soccer.

He owns Adirondack Computers in Old Forge, a computer repair business.

As a local business owner running for Town Supervisor, he said he sees it as an opportunity to apply his business experience to help the town become more profitable.

He said this would serve both the businesses community and for the town itself.

He also expressed an appreciation for the small hometown feel of the central Adirondacks, and said he would focus on preserving that.

“[Change and growth] needs to be handled carefully and the town needs to grow in a very controlled way.”

Hippisley said he plans to give more details about his candidacy, his platform and his ideas as the the election season progresses.
