Main Street, Old Forge First Friday Art Walks start season June 7

The First Friday Art Walks in Old Forge will kick-off its fourth season on June 7 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The seasonal event will follow the theme, Artistic Adventure in the Adirondacks, and will feature 13 venues for art lovers to shop, eat, listen to music, meet artists and view demonstrations.

First Friday Art Walks run through October and include a raffle for a unique item each month. To enter, a participant can pick up a card at any First Friday location and have it stamped. The card can be dropped off or carried to other First Friday locations for stamping.

Each location of the Art Walk will feature an artist, musician, or demonstration with some serving refreshments.

The venues are:

View, 3273 State Route 28 – Nationally recognized center for fine art exhibitions, performances, and workshops for all ages. Enjoy, Nature’s Spirit, an exhibit of photography by Walter Jakubowski; Kaatskill Woodturners  Associa-tion Juried Exhibition. Perfor-mance by International Jazz Trio at 7:30 p.m.

Stick Candles, 3278 State Route 28 – Unique artisan candles. Meet artist Doug  Collum

Old Forge Library, 220 Crosby Blvd. – Exhibit openings and receptions. The Adirondack Pastel Society 2013 Exhibit Opening.

Wrap City ‘N Glue (Deck), 3071 State Route 28 – Office services and graphics

The Starving Artist Gallery, 3071 State Route 28 Fine Art, Photography, Jewelry, Pottery, Unique Art by local artists

Five Corners Café, 3067 State Route 28 – Featuring the garden-themed pen and ink drawings and photography of Nicole Andre.

Sister’s Bistro, 3046 State Route 28. A fine Tapas Restau-rant in a Gracious Gathering Place with intimate bar

Gallery 3040, 3040 State Route 28 –  Wine reception for multi-media painter, Deborah Rosato. View the new work of a variety of artists. Fine Art, artisan handcrafts in glass, ceramics, wood, and metal

Ozzie’s Coffee Bar, 3019 State Route 28 – Coffee, breakfast and lunch sandwiches and paninis (Joining Art Walk July through September)

Goodsell Museum, 2993 State Route 28 – Town of Webb historical museum with area treasures and local history. View the knife-carved birds of Bob Zimmerman

Patti’s Paper Crafts, 2991 State Route 28 – Stamping, scrapbook supplies and classes and original Adirondack themed rubber stamps
