30th Adirondacks National Watercolor Exhibit to open Aug. 13

The 30th Annual Adirondacks National Exhi-bition of American Watercolors will be on display at View, the new arts center in Old Forge, from August 13 through October 2.

This highly competitive exhibition features the aqua media works on paper from many of the best living painters in North America.

It has been ranked one of the ten best competitive watercolor exhibitions in the country by The Artists magazine, and has received numerous endorsements and accolades.

There will be an opening reception and preview on Friday, August 12, which will be free to members and exhibiting artists. Admission is $10 for non-members.

Saturday, August 21, from 10:30 to Noon there will be A Continental Breakfast and Gallery Walkabout will take place on Saturday, August 13 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Dr. Dewey Mosby, Director Emeritus of the Picker Gallery at Syracuse University will lead a group discussion on several paintings on display.

Dr. Mosby is a renowned art historian with a Ph.D. in Art History from Harvard University. He has won many awards, including both Chevalier (Knight) and Officier (Officer) of the Order of Arts and Letters of France.

Admission to the gallery walkabout and continental breakfast is $15 for non-members and $10 for members.
