How do you thank someone for helping to save your life? There are no words to express the feeling of thankfulness that I have. We have been through a lot of crazy things, but being diagnosed with a rare cancer at the age of 31 tops the cake. The fear was overwhelming.
Then Kathy and Ron Hansen, the Cousins That Care, and the staff at The Ole Barn changed everything. The Cousins That Care Spaghetti Dinner made it possible for me to get the treatment that I needed.
I am amazed not only by my own community, but of all the surrounding communities that gathered to help us! I have now finished my radiation. There is still a long road ahead, but thanks to everyone that helped I can take that road. I will always remember what was done for us.
We will always be thankful— thankful for my life, and thankful to call such a loving place our home. We want to give a special thanks to Ron and Kathy, the Cousins, and the Ole Barn. We love you! Thanks again to everyone!
