Niccolls Memorial Church will sponsor Alternative Christmas Markets at its Fellowship Hall on Sunday, November 18 from 8 to 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Saturday, November 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The markets offer an opportunity to shop for crafts and Fair Trade foods from around the world.
The Niccolls Mission Committee sponsors the sale of Fair Trade items each year because they believe that artisans around the world should be given a fair price for their labor.
The selection of products includes: wooden puzzle boxes, candles, hand woven baskets and unusual decorative items.
There will also be scarves, jewelry, and a special collection of African bead necklaces.
The sale of these necklaces helps to support the Niccolls Hands of Mercy Scholarship Fund.
There will also be an opportunity to give a gift to Church World Service in honor of a friend or loved one.
Niccolls Memorial Church is located at 228 Crosby Blvd., next to the Old Forge Library.
