Ted Russell was the guest of honor at Thendara Golf Club’s annual end of season employee luncheon held Wednesday, October 3 at The Grill Room.

Russell will retire this year after serving as the golf course’s Greens Superintendent for the past 35 years.

Among the 50 club and board members, employees, and friends who turned out for the luncheon was Matthew Simon, who has been hired as Russell’s replacement. Simon, of Whitesboro, has served as Greens Superintendent at Radisson Greens Golf Club in Baldwinsville for the last seven years.

“We thank Ted for his 35 years of service, dedication, and loyalty to Thendara Golf Club. Over the years he has done a great job on the course—and we received nothing but praise and compliments on the condition of the course this past summer,” said Thendara Board President George Hiltebrant.
