Dr. Johnson receives award for plant eradication efforts

Dr. Douglas Johnson, a coordinator for the Inlet area-based effort to eradicate invasive plant species in the Adirondacks was presented the 2012 Green Action Service Award on behalf of the Hamilton County Soil & Water Conservation District (HCSWCD) on Sunday, July 1st.

Douglas Johnson received the award for “his commitment to ridding the Adirondack Park of invasive Japanese Knotweed plants,” said Elizabeth Mangle of HCSWCD who presented the award.
