Voters pass Webb school budget; Evans, Nahor & Phaneuf elected to board seats

Voters in the Town of Webb Union Free School District turned out at the polls on Tuesday, May 15 to vote on the 2012 to 2013 school budget and to elect three individuals to the Board of Education.

The $7,572,695 budget was accepted with 336 voting yes and 69 voting no.

Joseph Phaneuf, who was seeking one (1) five year on the Board of Education and ran unopposed, received 315 votes.

Kathleen A. Nahor, a candidate to fill the remainder of one (1) five-year Board of Education term running after the annual meeting May 15, 2012 until June 30, 2014, received 346 votes. She also ran unopposed.Sharon Evans, one of two candidates for the remainder of one (1) five-year term running after the annual meeting May 15, 2012 until June 30, 2016 on the Board of Education, received 260 votes, edging out opponent Clayton D. Luce who received 91 votes.

According to Diane Kull, the Town of Webb UFSD superintendent’s secretary, there was a total of 413 votes cast.
