Central Adirondack Association gathers for annual meeting

The Central Adirondack Association (CAA) held its annual meeting at the Seventh Lake House Restaurant on Wednesday, January 18.

The meeting was led by President Nick Bankert who provided a summary of the organization’s 2011 activities, partnerships and events, and outlined CAA-sponsored programs and events for 2012.

Chip Kiefer (Marketing and Treasurer), Laurie Barkauskas (Events), and Nick Rose (CAP-21, Economic Development) delivered their respective reports prior to the membership voting positively on the proposed 2012 budget of $310,650.Following the vote, the election of members to the Board of Directors took place. New members who will serve three-year terms are Jennifer Potter-Hayes, Executive Director of View; and Mark Mayer, co-owner of Big Moose Inn.

Dick Bird, Sandy Booton, Paul Chambers, Don Haehl, Phil Martin, Gail Murray, and Mike Ross were re-elected to their posts and will serve another three years on the board.

The slate of officers elected to serve in 2012 are: Nick Bankert, president; Kelly Noonan Greene, 1st vice-president; Dale Stanton, 2nd vice-president; Chip Kiefer, treasurer; and Deb Carhart, secretary.
