Letter to the Editor- Candidate Hansen: It’s been a long run, but finish line’s in sight

To the Editor:

This has been a very difficult campaign. Running against an incumbent is like running up a hill with your hands tied behind your back, but I’m an old Marathon runner and I know where my strength is and how to get to the finish line.

The Town of Webb has been my home for forty years and if I am elected as your County Legislator on November 8, I am determined to make a difference in District 15.

I will set my goals and work hard to achieve them. I have always been a hard worker. I believe you have to work hard to get the job done.

I will always be out there for you at public events and meetings and you will be as close to me as you are to your phone— and if you call me I will always call you back.

My firm belief is that it’s all about you the people. The people are the government and I mean that with all my heart.

Public service is an honorable profession and should always be held in that light and not in a self-serving way. I want to make it easier for you to live in Herkimer County and I will work with all of the legislators for the best results for the people.

I will hold question and answer meetings to keep you informed about what is going on in County Government.

I will have a lot of work and I will need all of you to take part in this to help make a better Herkimer County. We can accomplish this together.

I will be responsible for Russia, Ohio and Webb in District 15. You will know all of my voting decisions and I will make sure that District 15 gets its fair share of services for what we pay in tax levies.

I will always stand up for you, my constituents, and I will always be as steady as a rock.

We have to stop irresponsible spending and find alternatives for the new jail, such as consolidating services with Oneida County. I am for open government and open party caucus doors.

This is the American way.

This is your opportunity to receive the best representation that a County Legislator can give you, but it’s up to you, the voter, on November 8th.

God Bless you and God Bless America.
