Jane Monheit and Montalbano Trio
More than 100 people enjoyed jazz vocalist Jane Monheit and the Montalbano Trio who performed in “Bistro and the Gallery,” at View on Thursday, September 22.
Their performance was held in Gould Hall in an Italian Bistro setting with each table decorated with wooden platters with a variety of bistro-inspired finger foods.
According to Alan Saban, performing arts director of View, the musicians were extremely pleased with View’s new performance venue.
Saban said Jane Monheit finished the first set with her own version of, Over the Rainbow, which she sang in the movie, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
“Monheit and the Montalbano Trio mesmerized the audience with their jazz standards. At the end of the show there was a standing ovation, followed by an encore performance,” Saban said.
