Dr. Louis Vaccaro is scheduled to give a power point presentation at the Old Forge Library on Thursday, September 29 at 7 p.m.
The subject of Vaccaro’s presentation will be China: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.
A native Californian, Dr. Vaccaro and his wife, Linda, make their permanent home in Las Vegas, NV and spend summers in Old Forge.
He has served as president of several colleges across the country including The College of Saint Rose in Albany, Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI; and Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH.
In 1978, Dr. Vaccaro began lecturing and consulting part-time in China. Since then, he has traveled to China on 28 occasions, arranging bilateral student and faculty exchange programs with leading Chinese colleges and universities.
The author and editor of numerous books and nearly 100 articles and book reviews, Dr. Vaccaro recently published his memoir, “Around the Corner – From Shoeshine Boy to College President”.
A question and answer period will follow the presentation and books will be available for signing. The program is free and open to the public.
