VIEW event at North. Street: Stems & Steins Festival returns for second year on September 24 & 25

View will present the 2nd Annual Stems & Steins Festival, a wine, beer and food event, at the George T. Hiltebrant Recreation Center and Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25.

The festival will take place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

The event celebrates New York State entrepreneurs and their products, and is sponsored by Pride of New York and the Adirondack Scenic Railroad.

Fourteen wineries representing the Finger Lakes Region and North Country will provide tastings of their products.

Among the wineries are Tug Hill, Thousand Islands, Hazlitt 1852, and Montezuma Winery which has a store on Main Street in Old Forge.

Matt Brewing Company will present its Saranac line of beer featuring 14 varieties.

Food vendors include Yancey’s Fancy Cheese and other products, Cozy Haven Farm, Uncle Jim’s Backwoods Goods, JCookies, Old Goat products, Matteson’s Market, and the Old Forge Hardware.

Among the new vendors to this year’s show is Cosimano e Ferrari assorted olive oils.
