On behalf of all of our young golfers at the Town of Webb UFSD, I would like to thank the John Cahill Memorial Scholarship Fund, all the donors, and especially Rob Budetti, for their generous and wide-ranging support over the past year.
The Ted Classic tournament at Inlet Golf Club raised enough money to support one of our seniors last year with a great scholarship for college, and two of our players were sponsored to play at Thendara over the summer.
The Cahill Fund also helped us greatly with sorely needed equipment purchases for the coming year.
This support motivates our team, helps them get ready to compete successfully, and more importantly, enhances the opportunities for sportsmanship and the lifelong healthy living skills that golf develops.
I am personally very impressed with the effort and thankful for the support from the John Cahill Memorial Fund.
This year’s team will do their best to represent such a supportive community, and I encourage everyone to support this year’s Ted Classic up in Inlet this fall.
