He was born October 9, 1961, in Utica, a son of Clarence A. “Dutch” and Charlotte (Ellis) Pylman. He attended New Hartford and Town of Webb schools, and worked as a carpenter for various local contractors.

Dave enjoyed camping, hiking, and simply spending time in the Adirondacks.

He had a great interest in the many birds and flowers of the northwoods.

Dave took comfort in having a canine companion nearby, “Dotty” being his most recent buddy.

Survivors include his mother, Charlotte; a sister, Debby (John) Barry, of Buffalo and Eagle Bay; and four brothers, Allen (Patricia), of FL and Eagle Bay, Timothy (Cyndi), of Holland Patent, Robert (Janet Cross), of Remsen and Sixth Lake, and James (Mickie Harwood), of Eagle Bay; several cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his father, “Dutch”, a sister, Cathy Pylman, and a brother, Paul Pylman.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. In accordance with Dave’s wishes, there are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to consider a donation in Dave’s memory to their favorite local charity.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Dimbleby, Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home in Old Forge.
