The Old Forge Fire Department has sent out applications to last year’s ticket holders for their annual Big Bucks Give-A-Way, and as a means of encouraging early entries for this year’s event on Sunday, September 18, they will conduct three early bird drawings.
Entries received before March 15 will be eligible for a drawing to win $250; entries received before April 15 are eligible to win $150; and those received by May 15 could win $100.
Drawings for the early birds will be held on the 16th of the month and winners will receive a check in the mail.
The Big Bucks Give-A-Way, now in its 22nd year, is a major fundraiser for the OFFD.
The drawing is held the final day of the Firefighters Drill School weekend which is hosted by the local department.
Tickets are $50 each.
First place winner will receive $9,750; 2nd place wins $5,250; 3rd wins $4,500; and 4th wins $3,750.
There will be four 5th place winners of $3,000 each; four 6th place winners of $1,500; four 7th place winners of $750; six 8th place winners of $375; and forty 9th place winners of $150.

“Lucky number” requests will be honored if available.
