The Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club is asking for area snowmobilers’ help to make the gas tax refund a success for the club.
All those gallons of gas that are used on the snowmobile trails include sales tax that can get refunded to the club to buy equipment and for trail maintenance, etc.
The club maintains and grooms trails adjacent to the Towns of Webb & Inlet trail systems.
To help with this project, all snowmobilers are asked to do is place their gas receipts in the collection boxes placed at most gas retailers in the area.
Look for the blue and white club decal on the plastic boxes indicating that the receipts will go to the club.
Participating gas retailers in the area are EZ Mart and Inlet Marina in Inlet; Clark’s Marina and Big Moose Yamaha/Arctic Cat in Eagle Bay; and the Old Forge Camping Resort, Enchanted Gas and FasTrac in Old Forge.
Area residents can also help the club by providing receipts for any bulk gas purchases to be used on the snowmobile trails.
Mail a copy of the receipt to the Inlet Barnstormers Snowmobile Club, P.O. Box 144, Inlet, NY 13360.
Include your name and the number of gallons of gas purchased.
There is also a form on the club’s website that can be downloaded to print and complete with your snowmobile gas purchase receipts attached. The website is: InletBarnstormers

The place you bought the gas (must be purchased in New York State), date, and amount of gallons are the entries that are required on the form and you should attach the gas receipt for each purchase that you put on the form.
When you fill up a page you must sign it on the bottom, which gives the Inlet Barnstormers permission to apply for the sales tax refund for the gas you purchased.
The club would like to thank you in advance for your help with this project by placing your receipts in the collection boxes or mailing them to us with the form.
