Town of Webb Police Department reports law enforcement activity

The Town of Webb Police Department has reported the following recent law enforcement activity.

A Holland Patent man was arrested for a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on Wednesday, January 20 at 6:40 p.m.

According to the report, an investigation of a motor vehicle accident by New York State Police in Remsen led to the location of the defendant who had an active bench warrant from the Town of Webb Court for failure to appear on a scheduled court date in 2012.

The defendant was taken into custody and brought before Judge John Graham who adjourned his court appearance until Tuesday, February 9, 2016 and set bail at $2,500. He was remanded to Herkimer County Jail in lieu of bail.

A 23-year-old Old Forge man was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Operating Without Insurance, Imprudent Speed, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident on Tuesday, January 26 at 1:55 p.m.

According to the report, an investigation into a property damage accident on South Shore Rd. resulted in the arrest of the defendant for the above charges.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Webb Court at a later date.

A 36-year-old Schenec-tady, NY man was charged with Snowmobiling While Intoxicated, Snowmobiling While Intoxicated with Blood Alcohol Level Greater Than 0.08%, and Operating a Snowmobile on a State Highway on Sunday, January 31 at 2:20 a.m. According to the report, Webb Police conducted a traffic stop on a snowmobile at the Old Forge Camping Resort after witnessing the snowmobile operating on State Route 28 which resulted in the arrest of the defendant for the above charges.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Webb Court at a later date.

A 47-year-old Burnt Hills, NY man was charged with Snowmobiling While Intoxicated (SWI), SWI with a Blood Alcohol Level Greater Than 0.08%, Unlawful Possession of Mari-juana, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree following an incident that occurred on January 31 at 2:30 p.m.

According to the report, while conducting an investigation into a separate SWI traffic stop at the Old Forge Camping Resort, the defendant arrived on the scene and approached police and was subsequently arrested for the above mentioned charges.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Webb Court at a later date.

A 24-year-old Woodgate, NY man was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with Blood Alcohol Level 0.08% Or More, Speed in Excess of 55 mph, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, and Consumption of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle on Monday, February 1 at 7:15 p.m.

According to the report, the Town of Webb Police arrested the man for the above charges after a traffic stop on State Route 28 for traveling at 85 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone.

The man was processed at the Town of Webb Police Department where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .11%.

He was issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Webb Court on Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
