The question was recently asked: Does the Assessing Staff continue physical Data Collection during the winter months?
Yes, representatives from the Assessor’s Office are out and about the Town of Webb year-round.
We continue our duties including Data Collection for active building permits, completed building permits, property merges or sub-divisions.
We continue to gather information to bring the Assessor’s records up to date before taxable status date, March 1.
The ownership and physical condition of real property as of this date are recorded in preparation for calculation of value to be stated on the May 1, Tentative Assessment Roll.
In addition, all applications for property exemptions must be filed with the assessor by this date.
The Assessor’s Office normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, weekend appointments can be requested for a specific situation.
Any member of the Assessing Staff who is out in the community will be wearing identification and generally will be driving a town-owned vehicle identified as such.
If an individual approaches your home and indicates they are from the Assessor’s Office, please request to see identification.
If you are not satisfied that the individual is a representative of the Town of Webb Assessor’s Office, please immediately contact the local Police Department by calling 911 to report “a suspicious person.”
If you have any questions during regular business hours, call the Assessor’s Office at 315-369-6880.
